Details
I’m an artist, educator and self-taught mender. I set up Darn Good after teaching myself to darn during the 2020 lockdown, and found a real joy and love for mending and repair.
I believe in celebrating the changes our clothes go through and focus on visible, colourful mending to tell their stories.
The ethos behind Darn Good is a focus on sustainability and giving clothes a second life, rather than sending them to landfill. It is about making a conscious decision to repair and restore, and to rethink our consumption of fashion and textiles.
I not only repair other's clothes but I also teach workshops in visible mending, swiss darning, sashiko-inspired stitch and core mending skills.
